Apostle Clarence J. Flowers was born November 26, 1942 in Maxton, North Carolina. He is the only son of the late Clarence J. Flowers Sr. and Julia Albrooks Flowers. He was married to the late First Lady, Minister Luvenia Page Flowers for fifty eight years. Their union was blessed with nine children.
He was employed with Coke-Cola Bottling Company from 1963-1970, as a Fork Lift Operator. Smith Chemical Company, Richmond Va. from 1970-1972 as a Head Machinist and with Southern Railroad from 1972-2002 in the position of Machine Operator and Foreman.
After, 30 years of relentless hard work; He retired from Southern Railroad in 2002.
To further his education, he attended Craven Community College to pursue his General Education Diploma. He also,enhanced his Biblical education by enrolling in the Undenominational Bible Institute, where he studied Theology.
In 1961, he received salvation while attending a revival at the Sweet House in the James City community, under the leadership of the late Dr. Willie Grant . He later received the baptism of the Holy Spirit while attending a prayer service at a Baptist church in the Rocky Run community. He continued his christian journey by faithfully attending prayer meetings held at the home of Sister Mary L. Simmons and her mother, the late Mother Mary A. Richardson.
During the establishment of UPHC-Rocky Run Church, He served in many capacities. Including the first ordained Deacon, Devotionist and also provided transportation for the saints to attend the church services.
In 1963 he answered the greatest call of his life. That was the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was later appointed as Assistant Pastor and faithfully served under the leadership of the late Pastor Ralph Farrow. After the death of Pastor Farrow, he was officially ordained by the late Apostle Willie Grant to serve as Pastor of UPHC-Rocky Run. His tenure as Pastor of
Undenominational Pentecostal Holiness Church-Rocky Run has extended beyond 43 years.
His tenure as General Overseer began in 2001, after the death of Dr. Willie Grant, who was his dear friend and spiritual father. He has faithfully served in this capacity for nineteen years. He is currently the Overseer of four locations; UPHC- Bayboro, UPHC-Cove City, UPHC-James City
and his home church, UPHC-Rocky Run.
Many have been saved, healed and delivered under his ministry. His greatest desire is to see the body of Christ become all that God has called us to be and to walk in Kingdom Principles.
